Each edition of the Hootville Lowdown has content not published on our website, Twitter or Facebook. Read PR-related stories from the New York Times, Marketing Experiment Blog and other sources you’re too busy doing read for yourself. See examples of what to do and not to do from fellow marketers. Benefit from our nerdiness and insomnia.
Communications professionals don’t get the ongoing professional development they deserve and many work in isolation. The Lowdown is built from the ground-up to provide practical advice to enable you to better perform your job.
We invest 16 years of experience in the business into each edition. We handle everything from search engine optimisation tips, copywriting advice, details on new opportunities for media coverage to wise words on building your databases.
The Hootville Lowdown also features PR bloopers from around the world. And you know what – that’s the stuff that gets clicked the most. You people should grow up.
We know that many subscribers – who we declare to be Citizens of Hootville – share the Lowdown with their colleagues. Great.
We send out a Lowdown every few weeks or so. We resend 24-48 hours later to subscribers who didn’t open the first send. We recommend you subscribe twice with different email addresses to avoid spam filters or losing touch when you change jobs due to your employer not recognising your obvious talents.
We’re proud of your feedback – how many eNewsletters get raves like this?
