Gareth Wills Consultant
Gareth has a history of throwing himself in the deep end for a good cause. In December 2004, he sweated along the back roads of Victoria managing the media relations for Michael Long’s original Long Walk, as they tramped from Melbourne to Canberra raising awareness of Aboriginal Australia.
The Long Walk’s success inspired involvement with other charities including the Lighthouse Foundation and Sacred Heart Mission. He spent 2006 in Sri Lanka serving as the head of communications for Sunera Foundation, a Sri Lankan charity devoted to improving the lives of young people with disabilities, tsunami survivors, victims of civil war and impoverished children.
Gareth gained his media savvy with media monitoring company Rehame, where he worked as media analyst. In that crucible, he worked across an array of clients, industries and media campaigns dispensing sage advice on what works, what doesn’t and what to do when all hell breaks loose. Gareth holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from RMIT. He is currently studying for his Masters in Communications.
