Debra heads our Sydney bureau. Her background is in journalism, media relations and publishing. She has a penchant for plain English developed over 15 years in media relations, working in Australia and Hong Kong. Her experience includes work as a business journalist, editor, speechwriter and PR manager for Amnesty International Australia, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Austrade.

She is currently completing her Masters in International Social Development.

She claims that she can be found most mornings in the surf at Coogee before other Hootville staff have woken. This remains unverified.

Debra's spare time is devoted to her role as chair of Shack Youth Services Inc.
